Communication between the Sourceful Zap and Deye inverters uses Modbus RTU (RS485).

Strip one end of the ethernet cable. Use the green pair:

Pin 1 (green/white) = <code>485_B</code>

Pin 2 (green) = <code>485_A</code>

- Pin 1 (green/white) = <code>485_B</code>
- Pin 2 (green) = <code>485_A</code>

Connect <code>485_A</code> (green) to the Zap A+ terminal

Connect <code>485_B</code> (green/white) to the Zap B- terminal

- Connect <code>485_A</code> (green) to the Zap A+ terminal
- Connect <code>485_B</code> (green/white) to the Zap B- terminal

Plug the RJ45 end into the correct port for your model:

<code>SG04LP3-EU</code> → port labeled Meter-485

<code>SG01LP1-EU</code> → port labeled Modbus RS-485

<code>SG01HP3-EU</code> → port labeled RS485

- <code>SG04LP3-EU</code> → port labeled Meter-485
- <code>SG01LP1-EU</code> → port labeled Modbus RS-485
- <code>SG01HP3-EU</code> → port labeled RS485

Do not use the BMS, Parallel, CAN, or DRM ports.

Settings → Advanced Function → Paral. Set3

Verify the Modbus SN is set to <code>01</code>

Double-check you are using the correct port for your inverter model
