Step 1: Enable the Data Port on Your Electricity Meter

Before connecting your Zap, ensure the data port is enabled on your meter:

  • Contact your grid operator (such as Svenska kraftnät, Ellevio, Vattenfall or E.ON) to activate the data port - you might be able to do this on their website. If not, give them a call.

  • Most grid operators will enable your data port remotely for no cost, others might need to send a technician.

Step 2: Plug-in Your Zap to the Data Port

  1. Locate the data port on your energy meter

    • It's usually behind a small cover

    • Labeled "P1", "Customer", "User" or "RJ12"

    • RJ12 size (like old telephone jack)

  2. Connect the cable

    • Use the included RJ12-cable
