Onboard Your Zap
First make sure your energy meter has the P1 port data enabled. This is usually done via your energy meter provider.
- Connect your Zap to the energy meter P1 port. Make sure you are using the P1 input port on the Zap (located on the same side as the USB C port).
- The Zap Power Led (green) should start shining and the Status Led (blue) should start shining. Note that the Status Led is located near the Button on the opposite side from the Status Led.
- When your Zap recieves data from your meter the Data Led will blink. If there is no blinking of this light within a minute (usually this happens in 10 second intervals). Your meter is not sending data to your Zap, make sure the meter P1 port is enabled.
- You now have a steady flow of data to your Zap and it is ready for bluetooth paring and onboarding using the Sourceful Energy App. Follow the steps in the app. After successful onboarding the Zap will close down bluetooth and start in wifi mode, it will now send data to the Sourceful Network.
